K.Aksakalov: "By the end of 2026, we will cover 100% of villages with high-quality 4G Internet"

A meeting of the akimat of Kostanay region was held under the chairmanship of Akim of the region K. Aksakalov. The issues of improving the quality of public services and providing communications and Internet in rural settlements of the region were considered on the agenda.
In the context of new public administration and de-bureaucratization, approaches are becoming a priority when the state itself, without waiting for citizens to apply, provides public services. Compared to last year, the number of services provided via smartphones has increased 6 times, and online format has increased 2.4 times.
The measures taken by the state as a whole have allowed Kazakhstan to rise to the 8th position in the world in the UN ranking for the provision of electronic services.
After the approval of additions to the Register of Public Services, utilities will assume the status of state services, for them central government agencies will develop uniform rules for the provision of services in the country, which will specify the terms and necessary documents for provision.
"As we can see, the number of marriages is growing every year, which certainly pleases us. Over the past three years, the number of marriage registrations in Kostanay has increased by 12%, the Head of the region noted. - Since July 1 of this year, the public services of the RAGS have been provided by the Kostanay branch of the State Corporation "Government for Citizens", which does not have a special room for the solemn registration of marriages. The existing hall in the former Wedding Palace is on the balance sheet of the SEC "Tobol". Taking into account the social significance, together with the Chairman of the Board of the SEC "Tobol", the akimat resolved the issue of using the hall in the Wedding Palace for holding celebrations for the registration of marriages."
Currently, there is no way to launch a digital infrastructure in populated areas without high-quality mobile and broadband Internet.
In August of this year, we reached an agreement with the Kazakhtelecom JSC group of companies and KaR-Tel LLP to improve the quality of communication and Internet in the region.
Private investments of operators in the amount of more than 10 billion tenge are planned for the development of telecommunications networks and increasing the coverage of Internet access in 2024-2026.
In partnership with operators, in 2024, it is planned to build antenna mast structures in 50 villages, which are home to about 18 thousand people, of whom the economically active population is 10 thousand.
At least 50 antennas will be built in the region annually, and by the end of 2026 we will cover 100% of villages with high-quality 4G Internet.
In general, the provision of mobile communications in rural areas contributes to economic growth by providing entrepreneurs and business entities with access to information, the ability to organize online trading and remote control. It will also have a positive impact on the social conditions and quality of life of the population.
In the summer of this year, this investor applied for preferential loans to promote Internet access services in the southern regions of the region.
