What kind of support will the agrarians of Kostanay region receive – Aidarbek Saparov said

Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov arrived in Kostanay region, where he met with the heads of agricultural formations and answered all their questions.

The fields of the region have also suffered from heavy rains this year. Due to unfavorable weather, the quality of the grain of the new crop has deteriorated. In the region, the main volume is non-class wheat.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture assured that no one will remain without support.

"There is an instruction from the Head of State. The Government supported the proposed measures to minimize the consequences. NUH "Baiterek" resolved the issue of prolongation of loans without the application of penalties.  Work will be carried out to allocate additional funds for subsidizing the agro-industrial complex. Kostanay region needs another 16.9 billion tenge," Aidarbek Saparov said.

The minister said that the region will receive an additional 11 thousand tons of cheaper fuel for drying grain. Its cost will not exceed 250 tenge per liter. Elevators operate around the clock in the region, 318 grain dryers are functioning.

Farmers are concerned about the issue of returning the contracted grain to the Food Corporation.

"An analysis of the state of the grain market is being conducted now. According to its results, the Food Corporation will announce a fair price for the purchase of agricultural products. The company will ensure the formation of the seed fund and revise the delivery schedule of cheaper grain for bread production," the head of the Ministry of Agriculture added.

Aidarbek Saparov inspected the fields of several agricultural formations in different districts of the region, got acquainted with the work of the grain receiving enterprise.

Akim of Kostanay region K.Aksakalov said that 4.3 million hectares were sown with grain this year. according to operational data as of September 21, 32% of the total sown area was harvested, 1.3 million tons of grain were threshed, the average yield is still 9.2 c/ha. 

At the same time, the region exceeded the plan for forage harvesting. Farmers have stocked up with 1.1 million tons of hay, 151.6 thousand tons of haylage and 11.7 thousand tons of silage.

For the first time this year, farmers received 58 thousand tons of preferential diesel fuel for forage harvesting. Of these, 6.3 thousand tons were sent to Kostanay region.
