Archimedes Mukhambetov visited the Karatomar reservoir

Today, Akim of the region Archimed Mukhambetov visited the Karatomar reservoir, which is located on the territory of the Beimbet Maylin district. During the visit, he inspected the readiness of the area for the upcoming flood period. Due to the change in the flood situation, this issue is under constant control.
The dam is located 10 km southwest of the town of Rudny. It consists of 3 parts: alluvial, up to the interface with the left bank and the central spillway
The structure of the reservoir consists of a spillway with a length of 134 m, also consists of 7 spans of 16 m in light, overlapped by flat wheel gates. The threshold mark is 152 meters.
In order to prepare for the flood period, a set of measures is being carried out to protect the territory and the population of the region from negative flood events.
To prevent and eliminate the consequences of floods, stocks of 130 tons of fuel, 9.1 thousand tons of inert materials, 46 thousand tons of bags, etc., a number of measures have been prepared.
Following the results of the trip, Archimedes Mukhambetov instructed the akim of the district to keep flood situations under control.
