AkimofKostanayregion, ArkhimedMukhambetov, congratulatedallpeople of the region on the Kazakhstan People’s Unity Day, thus giving start to mass celebrations at the Central Square in Kostanay. The foremost solemn moment was awarding a certificate for 2.5 million tenge to regional ethnocultural associations.

“I wholeheartedly congratulate you with an important public holiday, the Kazakhstan People’s Unity Day. Thanks to the wise and far-sighted policy of the Head of State, today, all ethnic groups and nationalities of our country live in peace and harmony, which allow our country achieving social and economic heights,” Arkhimed Mukhambetov said. “Today, therearemorethan 90 nationalitiesof ten religious denominations living in our region. We celebrate both Nauryz meiramy, Christmas, and other holidaysequally.” The head of the region noted, that economic and social sectors develop due to strong interreligious relations. “Lastyear, forexample, we celebrated Sabantuy at the international level. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was engaged in this event. Moreover, the year 2018 had been declared the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan. Last year we visited Uzbekistan and held negotiations on development of the engineering industry. As a result of our arrangement, in 2017, we manufactured almost 2 thousand Ravon automobiles. Thereareplentyofexampleslikethat. The most important thing is the fact that Kazakhstan succeeded due to unity of all its people and common aspiration to a bright future.May our common shanyrak, Kazakhstan, flourish!” concluded his speech Arkhimed Mukhambetov.

Reportedly, the 2.5 million tenge was allocated to the Kostanay Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, represented by all ethnocultural associations, by the regional akimat for various activities. As it was noted by a member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Kalkaman Zhakyp, this was a gratitude from the head of the region to all ethnic groups for development of the region.

“If you ask, what is the most important in the life, I would say that, despite differing countries, nationalities and religion, the most important thing in this life is family. It’speacefulskiesaboveusallandunityofthepeople,” notedK. Zhakyp. “Historically, it happened that we are a multinational region, and the whole country knows that. This is all due to a thought-out and wise policy of the Head of State. This was acknowledged by the UN, and is often cited as an example for other states of the world.” It should be noted that various activities today take place not only in the regional centre, but all over the region. For example, today there is an exhibition of national non-alcoholic beverages and“Краскимира” (the Colours of the World) open-air event held in Kostanay. Also there is a parade of traditional dances of the people of Kazakhstan called “Биөнері - әлемніңруханиелшесі” (“The art of dance - a spiritual language of the world”).

Further, the holiday will be continued by a musical-ethnographic event called “Платоккаксимволженскойкрасотывнациональныхкультурах” (“The headscarf as a symbol of women’s beauty in national cultures”) and will culminate in the “Туғанжер - Туғанел. Бірхалық - бірел" (“Native land – native country. One nation – one country”) concertprogram

The festive events will traditionally be continued on the 2nd and 3rd of Many. Itisplannedtoconductatogyzkumalak municipaltournament and a table tennis open municipal tournament, to mark the Kazakhstan People’s Unity Day.
