A Large Meat Processing Complex Will Be Launched in Arkalyk

During a working visit of Kostanay region Akim Arkhimed Mukhambetov, he visited Arkalyk and checked the construction of a meat processing complex, the launch of which is scheduled for October, as reported by Kazinform correspondent. The slaughter house is supplied with power, water supply, sewerage and heat systems; the transformer substation has been constructed. “Starting from August 8, this year, the works on installation of internal partitions of the slaughterhouse have begun. The amount of own disbursed funds equals to 1 billion 300 million tenge. In addition, by the medium of Tobol JSC we received a 500 million tenge loan at 3% for the purchase of equipment. From this amount we concluded contracts for the supply of processing equipment from Poland in the amount of 250 million tenge, canning equipment from Ukraine in the amount of 42 million tenge, autoclaves and equipment for canned products cooking from China in the amount of 15 million tenge, ventilation and refrigeration equipment from Forik LLP, Kostanay in the amount of 63 million tenge (installation works shall be performed within 20 working days) that has already been delivered. The remaining 130 million tenge are envisaged for the purchase of special equipment (refrigerators) and building materials,” - informed the head of the region E. Kuzenbayev. We have equipment from Poland. We need 16 200 thousand carcasses to run the workshop at full capacity. Toy shall slaughter 44 heads of cattle a day.

Various refrigerating devices for storage of meat and meat products working in the range from -2 to -36 degrees are acquired. 120 permanent jobs positions will be created here., This large project shall work at full capacity in the first quarter of 2020. Akim of the region Arkhimed Mukhambetov instructed to keep the issue of training the staff that will work in the workshops under control. He emphasized on hiring the local population. “Train the youth of Arkalyk. For how long shall we be seeking for the specialists in other regions? There are special professional courses, training courses. This shall affect the quality of the staff. Train personnel from the local population”, - instructed the head of the region. It is worth noting that the previously operating in the region meat processing plant was stopped in 1997.
