In accordance with the Regional Program for the development of fisheries in Kostanay region for 2021-2030, it is planned to expand the production and sale of fish products, as well as to ensure on this basis the intensive replacement of imported products on the domestic market with domestic products, by increasing the volume of commercial fishing in fisheries reservoirs to 2,985 tons, growing commercial fish to 10,241.8 tons by 2030.
In addition, work is currently underway on the projects "Opening of an enterprise for incubating whitefish caviar and trout cultivation in the UZV" as well as"Opening of an enterprise for growing and processing fish in the village of Abai of the Uzunkol district".
