Information for the information of residents of Uzunkol district regarding the movement of farm animals on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
GU "Uzunkolskaya RTI KVK and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan" informs that in 2022 a decision was made and a plan of preventive measures was approved on the transition to vaccination against FMD of all susceptible livestock in the territories of Astana and Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Mangystau, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan regions and the Ulytau region (hereinafter - the North-Western and Central regions), with the subsequent restoration of the status with vaccination.
Thus, animals from East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Turkestan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions, Zhetisu region, Abai and the cities of Almaty and Shymkent (hereinafter referred to as the South-Eastern) regions that are part of the zones with the official status of free from foot-and-mouth disease with vaccination are allowed to move to the North-Western and Central regions.
Before shipment as part of animal quarantine, in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2014 No. 7-1/700 "On approval of the Rules for quarantine of animals", laboratory tests must be carried out to detect antibodies to non-structural proteins of the foot-and-mouth disease virus. Animals with a negative result are allowed to move. Upon arrival of the animals at the destination, further preventive vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease is carried out in accordance with the instructions for the use of the vaccine and the vaccine used in the region.
At the same time, moving from the North-Western and Central regions to the South-Eastern regions is not allowed until the official status of FMD-safe zones with vaccination is restored in the VOZ.
