In accordance with Article 37 of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, local executive bodies of the regions are required to develop environmental quality targets (hereinafter referred to as CCOS) for each five–year period.
Target indicators are understood as a set of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the state of individual environmental components and other indicators characterizing the level of environmental protection measures and effective waste management that must be achieved over a certain period of time.
The previously existing CPSCS for the Kostanay region for the period 2019- 2021, approved by the decision of the Kostanay regional Maslikhat No. 389 dated 05/15/2019, have been achieved.
The project of the Central Committee for the Kostanay region for 2024-2028 has been developed (the customer is the State Institution "Management of Natural Resources and Regulation of Natural Resources of the Akimat of the Kostanay region, the Contractor is GAZPOL LLP). Currently, a procedure is underway for the approval of the CCOS by local representative bodies, in accordance with current legislation.
