On holding a republican referendum on March 15, 2026
In accordance with subparagraph 10) of Article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Article 18 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Republican Referendum," I RESOLVED:
To hold a republican referendum on March 15, 2026.
To submit to the republican referendum the draft new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the following question: "Do you accept the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the draft of which was published in the media on February 12, 2026?"
To officially publish this Decree and the draft Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the media on February 12, 2026.
To entrust the preparation and conduct of the republican referendum to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, performing the functions of the Central Referendum Commission, as well as to the territorial and precinct election commissions, performing the functions of the territorial and precinct referendum commissions.
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other central state and local executive bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall take the necessary measures to organize and conduct a national referendum.
This Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
