On November 22 of this year, the Decree of the Akimat of Kostanay region dated November 22, 2022 No. 514 “On approval of the maximum allowable retail price for a socially significant food product” came into force, which approved the maximum allowable retail price for edible salt - 55 tenge per kilogram for a period of thirty calendar days, with the possibility of its revision no earlier than after 15 calendar days.
According to Article 90 of the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, local executive bodies, within their competence, exercise state control over compliance with the maximum allowable retail prices for NWFP.
The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed an algorithm for the appointment of inspections in relation to small and micro businesses for compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the regulation of trading activities, in terms of non-compliance with the maximum permissible retail prices for NWFP.
In accordance with Article 202 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
"On Administrative Offenses", exceeding the maximum allowable retail prices for NWPT by domestic trade entities - entails a fine in the amount of one hundred monthly calculation indices. An action committed repeatedly within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty - entails a fine in the amount of two hundred monthly calculation indices.
