The document provides for a tax amnesty rule for writing off penalties for individuals, the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
In particular, citizens will be charged off penalties on taxes on property, land and vehicles of individuals that were listed on the taxpayer's personal account as of April 1, 2020 and accrued later before the date of its payment.
The main condition for the write-off is the payment of the principal tax debt. The penalty interest is written off according to the type of tax for which the arrears were paid.
The exception is property tax and land tax liabilities for 2019, which must be paid by October 1, 2020.
The tax amnesty is due until December 31, 2020.
In this regard, commissions to write off penalties will be created in all territorial subdivisions of state revenue bodies.
You do not need to go anywhere to write off penalties. It is enough to pay the principal amount of the debt. Penalty interest will be debited automatically.
