Field meeting of the Public Council

On August 2, 2022, an off-site meeting of the Public Council was held in Maysky rural district on the issue of the Rules for keeping pets. On March 2, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Responsible Treatment of Animals” came into force. At the moment, this is a sore point not only for the residents of the village, but for the entire region. Grib Irina Vasilievna, Chief Specialist of the State Enterprise “Veterinary Station of the Beimbet Mailin District of the Office of the Kostanay Region” informed in more detail about the changes in the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Rules for keeping and walking pets in the territory of settlements in the Beimbet Mailin district”

The meeting was attended by: members of the Public Council, the secretary of the maslikhat of the district, the akim of the Maisky rural district, the district police inspector and the local community of the village of Maiskoye.

The Council made the following recommendations:

  1. Akims of rural districts and the village of Tobol to consider the possibility of determining a place for the temporary keeping of dogs.
  2. State Enterprise “Veterinary Station of the Beimbet Mailin District of the Kostanay Region Administration”, together with the akimats of rural districts and the village of Tobol, use the possibilities of the state social order to implement the norms of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Responsible Treatment of Animals”
  3. State Enterprise “Veterinary Station of the Beimbet Mailin District of the Kostanay Region Administration”, together with the akimats of rural districts and the village of Tobol, to systematically inform the population, state, public and non-governmental organizations about the new standards for keeping, walking and trapping pets.
