The concept of corruption should be understood as the act of illegal use by persons holding a responsible public position, authorized to perform public functions or persons equated to persons authorized to perform public functions, of their official powers and opportunities related to official powers in order to obtain or extract personally or through intermediaries property and non-property benefits and advantages for themselves or for third parties.

The Authorized Anti-Corruption Body is a state body responsible for the formation and implementation of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and coordination in the field of anti-corruption.
