Suppression of Channel of Illegal Traffic in Explosives

The Department of the National Security Committee of the Akmola region prevented the unlawful activity of a criminal group engaged in theft and illegal sale of explosives in the region.

Thus, on November 20, 2019, during a search operation, two members of a criminal group were detained while trying to sell ammonite drafts and detonator caps.

Totally, during the multi-stage operational development, 809 ammonite drafts and 2 packages with ammonite, in total more than 200 kg, as well as 442 detonator caps were seized from members of this criminal group in October-November 2019.

The detained persons were placed in the temporary detention facility of the Police Department in Kokshetau city. Pre-trial investigation is underway.
