Liquidation of Drug Laboratories

 In October 2021, the Department of the NSC of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the city of Almaty, coordinated by the prosecutor's office of the city of Almaty, detected and suppressed the activities of 2 drug groups involved in the manufacture and sale of large consignments of synthetic drugs on the territory of the region via Internet resources.

 

 

As a result of a complex of operational and search measures, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan and four citizens of Kazakhstan were detained, who organized 2 drug laboratories for the handicraft production of "mephedrone" and "Alpha-PVP" with the further sale of wholesale consignments.

 As a result of the search activities, 4 kg of synthetic drugs and 40 liters of their semi-finished product, 1 kg of hashish, more than 20 kg of precursors and laboratory equipment were found and seized.

 

 

It was found that the criminal goods were sold through social messengers, in a contactless way through the implementation of drug hiding places.

 According to these facts, the Department of the NSC of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Almaty, the materials of the pre-trial investigation were registered in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 297, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

 

It should be noted that the growth of handicraft production and supplies of large consignments of narcotic drugs and precursors to the "black market" of Almaty is steadily continuing.

 From the beginning of 2021 to the present, the Department of the NSC has suppressed 18 cases of illegal drug trafficking, liquidated the activities of 10 clandestine drug laboratories for the production of synthetic drugs. About 255 kilograms of drugs were withdrawn from the illegal turnover. For engaging in drug trafficking, 33 people were detained and prosecuted.
