The border guards of the “Shemonaikha” railway checkpoint of the Department of the Border Service for East Kazakhstan, together with employees of the police department at the “Oskemen” station, suppressed an attempt to illegally export consumer goods under the guise of building materials.

The freight train was heading from Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan) to Rubtsovsk city (Russia). In one of the carriages, about 130-150 cubic meters of shoes were found instead of those declared in the shipping documents: slag wool, mineral silicate wool and similar (including mixtures thereof).

Pre-trial proceedings have begun on the basis of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 195 of the Criminal Code "Causing property damage by deception or abuse of trust."
