Suppression of the Organized Criminal Group Activities

The National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the involvement of special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in agreement with the prosecutor's office of the Atyrau region, suppressed the illegal activities of a criminal group that organized the cultivation of drug-containing plants on the territory of the Atyrau and West Kazakhstan regions.

 

 

As a result of a special operation on August 18, 2021, 31 persons (including 17 foreigners) were detained at three plantations, including the organizer of the drug group.

 

 

More than 4 tons of marijuana, 7 units of firearms and ammunition were withdrawn from the illegal circulation. Also, during the searches, saiga horns and sturgeon fish poached were found.

 

 

The suppression of the activities of the organized criminal group was preceded by painstaking operational work. Irrefutable evidence of the involvement of the defendants in the criminal drug crime has been obtained, the structure of the criminal group and the distribution of roles between the participants have been established.
