Border Guards Prevented Illegal Export of the Red Book Plant

On July 30, 2021, servicemen of the Border Service Department of the NSC for the Almaty region, together with employees of the “Ile Alatau” State National Natural Park, detained a resident of the Aktogan settlement of the Enbekshikazakh region, citizen "Zh", born in 1980, who was illegally collecting medicinal herbs "Macrotomia".

The detainee was found to have four sacks with a plant from the Red Book, with a total weight of about 150 kg.

The person and material evidence were transferred to the authorized bodies for further investigation and procedural decisions.

It should be reminded that earlier on July 8, border guards prevented two cases of illegal collection of the Red Data Book plant "Macrotomia" with a total weight of about 300 and 150 kg.

Thus, thanks to the vigilance of the border guards, illegal activities in the border zone, which also cause environmental damage, have been suppressed once again.
