The Border Service of the NSC Honored the Memory of the Servicemen who were Tragically Lost in an Air Crash

• • Today, in the Turkestan region, at the crash site of the AN-72 border plane, as well as in all territorial divisions of the Border Service of the NSC was held a rally in memory of the servicemen who died in the plane crash.

   

  • The event was attended by servicemen, representatives of the clergy, the branch of the Republican public association of veterans-border guards "Zastava Tarlandary", as well as relatives and friends of the victims.

   

  • On the initiative of the servicemen of the Department of the Border Service of the NSC for the Turkestan region, a memorial plaque was installed at the crash site.

   

  • Colleagues and relatives honored the memory of the departed comrades, held a flower-laying ceremony, and representatives of the clergy held religious rituals.

   

  • December 25, 2012 became a mourning day for the whole country. On this winter evening near Shymkent, the AN-72 military aircraft of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan crashed, en route from the capital to the south of the republic.

   

  • The plane crash near the Tassai settlement of the Sairam region claimed 27 lives. This tragic event became the largest in the history of Independent Kazakhstan.
