On October 25, 2020, border guards at the Kairak automobile checkpoint (Kostanay region) prevented the export of 54,710 sets of disposable pathogen coats in the amount of 8,527,125 tenge from Kazakhstan.
In accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Committee for quality control of the safety of goods and services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan from February 20, 2020 No. 56 "On the prohibition of issuing permits for the export of personal protective equipment", a ban was introduced on the export of medical personal protective equipment from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that this is not the first fact of an attempt to transport goods that fall under the goods prohibited for import (export) into the Republic of Kazakhstan at this checkpoint.
The territorial subdivisions of the Border Service of the NSC are focused on strengthening control at checkpoints in order to prevent the illegal export of goods subject to the ban.
