The national project on high-quality and affordable healthcare provides for the development of domestic production of medicines and medical products

The Ministry of Health held an online meeting with the participation of non-governmental organizations, the public and structural units of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where they discussed the National project "Quality and affordable healthcare for every citizen "Healthy Nation" for 2021-2025.
The national project consists of 4 directions and includes 8 tasks, 20 indicators and 83 activities.
Within the framework of the first direction – "affordable and high-quality medical care", tasks have been set to ensure broad coverage of the population with health services, preserve the health of pregnant women and strengthen the health of children.
In the second direction – "formation of a modern system of epidemiological forecasting and response", it is proposed to switch to a modern model of epidemiological surveillance of infectious diseases and expand public access to modern and high-precision laboratory research.
In the direction of "affordable medicines and medical products of domestic production", the scientific and human potential for the pharmaceutical and medical industry will be increased and the domestic production of medicines and medical products will develop.
And in the last, fourth direction, "increasing the proportion of the population leading a healthy lifestyle and the development of mass sports", tasks have been set for choosing people in favor of health and creating conditions for physical culture and mass sports for all categories and groups of the population, including increasing the level of provision of the population with sports facilities.
