Analysis of captured images of inspection complex

        In the period from November 04 to November 06, 2024, a special course was held for employees of the State Revenue Department in the Zhetisu region and the Almaty region at the check points Khorgos and Altynkol-Zhol with the support of the Export Control and Border Security Program of the US Department (EXBS) on the topic: "Analysis of captured images of inspection complex".

      The lecturers were:

      - Lazzat Kasymkulova – Deputy Head of the TMC;

      - Anuar Kasymbekov –Сhief Expert of the TMC;

      - Kalamkas Duisenbaeva - Сhief Expert of the TMC;

      Training objective: to increase the reliability and speed up the customs clearance process, improve the quality of inspection, reduce unauthorized cargo delays, detect foreign attachments, and increase the efficiency and quality of customs control, and improving and strengthening the skills of SRD employees in detecting and identifying contraband goods and substances.

      The participants got acquainted with:

• Application of X-ray technologies for non-intrusive cargo scanning;
• Technical description of scanners;
• Concealment techniques;
• Methods of concealment, search and detection of prohibited items (explosives, explosive devices, weapons and ammunition, narcotic substances, smuggled goods, etc.);
• Perspective positioning and in-depth analysis of X-ray images.

      According to results of testing, 35 out of 37 participants of the course successfully passed the testing and received certificates. 2 participants (SRD of Zhetisu region) did not reach the threshold level.
