Methods of inspection and identification of profiling

        In the period from October 28-30, 2024, a training event on "Methods of inspection and identification of profiling" for employees of territorial state revenue authorities was held at the Shymkent-Auezhai chek-point in Shymkent city with the support of the OSCE Program Office. The event is aimed at employees responsible for the inspection of vehicles and cargo, for organizing control measures at checkpoints across the state border.

         Objective was to improve and strengthen the skills of officials of state  revenue agencies in the field of detection and identification of contraband goods and substances.

        The main topics of the program were:

       - the use of modern equipment for reliable control at checkpoints;

       - principles and methods of selection of vehicles and passengers for inspection;

       - features of the inspection of air traffic and the use of profiling to protect security.

         During the event, the participants:

      - got acquainted with modern methods of detection and identification of contraband goods transported  across the state border using advanced technical means; 

     - studied new technologies to improve the efficiency of inspection

vehicles and cargo;

     - have mastered the methods of identifying hidden means of transportation

and to ensure safety during inspections.

     The lecturers and instructors of the training event were TMC employees:

     - L.T. Kasymkulova - Deputy Head of the TMC:

     - Kasymbekov A.P. - Chief specialist of TMC.

      As a result of the event, 23 participants were trained, 22 of them successfully passed the final test and received the appropriate certificates. One participant did not reach the threshold level.
