Pilot project on the use of biometric identification tools

 The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the framework of a pilot project, launched biometric identification when issuing electronic invoices in February 2024.

Biometric identification must be completed when registering in the electronic invoice system or in cases determined by the Risks Management System of the tax authority, in which a notification is sent to the taxpayer about the need for biometric identification.

The head of the company or an authorized person undergoes biometric identification through the Information System “Electronic Invoices” on a personal computer or through a mobile application.

The pilot project is being implemented in order to exclude the fact that the electronic invoce was discharged by persons not involved in the financial and economic activities of the company.

Since the introduction of biometric identification, the activities of more than a thousand one-day firms have been identified, where more than 1.2 thousand taxpayers have not passed biometric identification.
