Held in Belt and Road Initiative Tax Academy

       On July 4, 2024, the Regional tax center of the Educational and methodological center of the State revenue committee of the Ministry of finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part online in an event dedicated to the development of the BRITA member countries, organized with the support of the BRITACOM secretariat and the BRITACEG office.

      The purpose of the event was to share experiences on how to develop and improve BRITA and exchange views on how to stimulate the development of BRITACEG and BRITA to offer better and targeted training programs for tax officials from English, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese and Arabic-speaking jurisdictions.

     Ms. Meng Yuying, Director General of the International Taxation Department of the State Tax Administration, China, delivered a welcoming speech at the event.

     The BRITA member countries-Yangzhou, Beijing, Astana, Macau and Riyadh shared information about their activities, events held, as well as plans for the future.

    Invited experts from BRITACEG and representatives of the UNDP (UN Development Program), the State Tax Administration of China, the General Tax Administration of Algeria, the Inter-American Center for Tax Administration, the Asian Development Bank also shared their experience.

    This event provided the participants with the opportunity to share their experiences in order to jointly promote the development of BRITAs in modernization of educational programs, involvement of experts and teachers of BRITACEG, development of the BRITA website.
