On May 23, 2024 representatives of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the site of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" held an online conference with representatives of the business community and territorial authorities about the Agreement on the use of navigation seals for tracking transportation in the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter - the Agreement, the EAEU).

The purpose of the conference is to clarify the adopted regulations governing the procedure of the entire process from the beginning of transportation of the goods by vehicle to its completion and delivery of goods to the destination point, with the practical application of navigation seals.

During the conference entrepreneurs and other participants were informed that according to the concept laid down in the document, the use of modern technical and technological solutions in the organization of goods transportation across the territories of the EAEU member-states will reduce the applied measures of customs control and other types of state control, eliminate the facts of non-delivery of goods and allow timely response to various force-majeure situations along the route of the vehicle.

Transportation tracking will be carried out by national operators who are defined by the EAEU member-states.

In the Republic of Kazakhstan the state has defined the Limited Liability Partnership "Institute of Space Technology and Systems" as such a national tracking operator (100% of shares belong to the Ministry of digital development and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

The representative of the national operator D. Kaltieva informed entrepreneurs about an experiment between the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on putting navigation seals in a test mode and asked carriers to take an active part in the experiment.

The experiment is carried out free of charge. Practical results will be taken into account when introducing navigation seals across the EAEU territory.

At the conference entrepreneurs asked questions regarding tracking of goods by road and railway means of transport and got comprehensive answers. In general, the event was held in atmosphere of mutual understanding, with active participation of business community.
