TRAINING SEMINAR on "Analysis of captured images of inspection complex" PRESS-RELEASE

In the period from November 20 to November 22, 2023, a special course was held for employees of the State Revenue Department in the Zhetisu region and the Almaty region at the check points Khorgos and Altynkol-Zhol with the support of the Export Control and Border Security Program of the US Department (EXBS) on the topic: "Analysis of captured images of inspection complex".

The lecturers were:

- Lazzat Kasymkulova – Deputy Head of the TMC;

- Sara Abylkasimova - Deputy Head of the TMC;

- Meruyert Abdreimova - Head of the Digitalization and distant learning department of the TMC.

The participants got acquainted with:

-the use of X-ray technologies for non-intrusive scanning of cargo;

-technical description of scanners;

- methods of concealment;

-providing search and detection of prohibited items (explosives, explosive devices, weapons and ammunition, narcotic substances, contraband goods, etc.);

-perspective location and in-depth analysis of the X-ray image;

The students mastered theoretical and practical skills of working on X-ray television installations, as well as the classification of hand luggage and baggage, inspection of cargo vehicles in order to identify prohibited and restricted items for transportation across the customs border.

At the end of the course, the final testing of participants was conducted, 32 employees of the state revenue department and 3 employees of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan recieved certificates of successful completion of the course.
