In the period from July 4-5 this year, the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan was visited by an official visit by a team of OECD experts together with information security officers of the US Internal Revenue Service and the Canada Revenue Agency.

The purpose of the visit was to assess Kazakhstan for Confidentiality and guarantee the storage of information obtained as part of the Automatic exchange of information for tax purposes.

It is important to note that the Committee staff managed to confirm the results of the first assessment, which, due to the closed borders in 2021, was carried out remotely.

The team of experts noted the high level of training of the Committee's staff, as well as a fairly high level of information security of information systems and the Committee as a whole.

According to the results of the assessment, the expert group gave a number of "soft recommendations" that are already in the works.

The assessment showed that Kazakhstan is ready for a full-fledged Automatic exchange of information on financial accounts and cross-country reports.
