"The Committee recalls the current ban on the export of onions from Kazakhstan"

The State Revenue Committee recalls that since January 28, 2023, a ban has been imposed on the export of onions from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a period of 3 months (order of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 31799 of January 28, 2023).
At the same time, on January 31 of this year, the departure of 23 heavy-duty vehicles transporting onions from Shymkent, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions was prevented at the road checkpoint "Syrym" in the West Kazakhstan region (Kazakh-Russian border). Drivers of these vehicles are informed about the ban.
Currently, the issue of returning the onion to the senders or selling it in other regions of Kazakhstan is being resolved.
