The export of cash of 83 million tenge to the neighboring country was stopped

   

       Employees of the customs post "Auezhai-Astana" of the Department of State Revenue in the city of Astana on November 6, 2022, during the customs inspection of hand luggage of passengers of the international flight "Astana-Tashkent", citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan revealed undeclared cash in the amount of 83,601,000 tenge, namely 180,000 US dollars.

       Violators prevented officials from carrying out customs inspection.

In relation to the violators, the materials were transferred to the Department of Economic Investigations in Astana for making a decision on the initiation of criminal cases under Article 234 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

       In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 14, 2022 No. 830, the export of cash foreign currency and (or) cash in foreign currency in the amount calculated at the exchange rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan established on the date of export exceeding the equivalent of 10,000 (ten thousand) US dollars is prohibited.
