PRESS RELEASE of the visit of the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization K.Mikuriya to the Turkestan region

At the invitation of the Kazakh side, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuriya visited the Turkestan region.

The program of the visit provides for a visit and familiarization with the activities of the modernized customs post "Bauyrzhan Konysbayev" on the Kazakh-Uzbek border.

The Head of the World Customs Organization rated highly the technical equipment of the customs post aimed at simplifying customs procedures and reducing time costs for business.

During the visit, Kunio Mikuriya visited the burial monument of Japanese prisoners of war in the city of Kentau, Turkestan region and participated in the wreath-laying ceremony, the mausoleum of Khoja Akhmet Yassavi and got acquainted with new sights in the city of Turkestan.
