The Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, Mr. Kunio Mikuria, paid an official visit to Shymkent

On October 5, 2021, the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, Mr. Kunio Mikuria, paid an official visit to Shymkent.

During his visit, the high-ranking international official got acquainted with the conditions for the development of foreign economic activity in the Shymkent Customs Clearance Center, and also visited the infrastructure facilities of the transport and logistics center of Continental Logistics Shymkent LLP.

He was shown the possibilities of customs control based on the automated risk management system "Astana-1" and the principle of "Single Window", which greatly simplified the process of customs clearance, making it convenient and transparent.

K.Mikuria stressed the importance of ensuring the smooth movement of goods and vehicles and maintaining international trade, especially in the context of a global pandemic.
