Parliamentarians of the country got acquainted with the work of the Nur Zholy checkpoint on the Kazakh-Chinese border

During the working meeting, Vice Minister of Finance Marat SultangaziYev familiarized the parliamentarians with measures to stabilize the situation related to the movement of goods across the Kazakh-Chinese border.

In particular, a mechanism of "contactless" transportation of goods has been introduced, allowing Chinese trailers with goods to be imported to border transport and logistics centers, which excludes physical contacts.

This became possible following negotiations with the Chinese side and the introduction of a number of amendments to the legislation of Kazakhstan, including regulations in the field of transport.

The senators were also informed about the centralization of customs control by creating a Situation Center and an Electronic Declaration Center within the premises of the State Revenue Committee.

Creation of these centers resulted in more than 15 % decrease in discrepancies in mutual statistics with China.

Additionally, the senators were shown the work of checkpoints, including the procedure for conducting customs control using technical means of control.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Industry and Infrastructure development, National Economy, the Border service of the National Security Committee, Akimat of Almaty region, as well as NC 'Kazakhstan Temir Zholy' JSC.

In addition, a working meeting was held at the Altynkol checkpoint on the Kazakh-Chinese border between Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Sultangaziyev and Minister for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Maksat Mamytkanov. They discussed topical issues of improving customs administration, as well as current aspects of the development of international treaties within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
