Updating and Conducting Special Training Courses for Operators of Inspection and Screening Systems

From July 27 to 31, 2026, the Training Methodical Center of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Mangistau Region State Revenue Department in Aktau, conducted a specialized course on “Updating and Conducting Special Training Courses for Operators of Inspection and Screening Systems”.

The main objective of the course was to improve the effectiveness of inspection and screening systems in customs control, as well as to develop operators’ practical skills in identifying prohibited and potentially dangerous items.

During the training, participants studied the operational principles of modern inspection and screening systems, including X-ray inspection technologies for vehicles, cargo, and luggage. Particular attention was paid to interpreting X-ray images, with a key focus on detecting concealed items and hidden goods. Participants practiced analyzing scanned images, simulated various scenarios, and analyzed both typical and non-standard cases. Using real-life examples, the training examined cases involving the detection of contraband goods, weapons, explosives, and other prohibited items—this allowed participants to reinforce their theoretical knowledge and enhance their professional readiness. The practical portion of the training took place at the “Quryq” and “Aktau Seaport” customs posts.

The training program was developed and implemented with the active participation of Lazzat Turdakynovna Kasymkulova, Deputy Director of the Training Center; the Head of the Training and Professional Development Department at the Training Center; Anuar Panarovich Kasymbekov, Head of the Training and Development Department at the Training Center, and Irina Akhsarbekovna Kobekayeva, Head of the OOD RTC, who served as trainers and instructors.
