On November 4, 2025, a roundtable was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Semlzhan Akhmetov, with the participation of representatives from the sugar, trade, food, construction, franchising, and debt collection industries.

The main purpose of the event was to discuss issues related to the implementation of measures under the new Tax Code, as well as to develop proposals for addressing pressing issues highlighted by industry associations.

During the meeting, key areas of tax reform were reviewed, including VAT taxation in the pharmaceutical sector, the removal of benefits on the import of raw sugar, the specifics of applying a special tax regime, as well as proposals from representatives of the franchising and debt collection sectors.

It was also noted that the updated Tax Code will become a key tool in forming a fair and modern tax system focused on transparency and trust.

Special attention is being given to ensuring a smooth transition to the new conditions, particularly for micro and small business representatives. The Committee is taking the necessary measures to fully implement a service-oriented model of interaction between tax authorities and taxpayers.

As a result of the roundtable, the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation and agreed to continue joint work on developing practical recommendations aimed at the effective implementation of the new Tax Code.
