The head of the customs post «Taraz-СТО» Izbasarov A. Made an introductory address to the participants of the round table. In his speech, the head of the customs post familiarized everyone with the agenda of the meeting and noted the importance of suppressing and preventing counterfeit products from entering the market of Kazakhstan and other countries of the Customs Union, marked with trademarks and other objects of intellectual property rights of the Copyright Holders, and also asked the participants of the round table to take an active part in the discussion of the issues outlined.
After that, the representative of the Copyright Holder Konuspaev B. Made a presentation in the following areas:
- review of the main provisions of the implementation of the APPLE brand protection program;
- familiarization with the distinctive features of the original products and the presentation of methodological recommendations.
After the presentation, a discussion was held between the participants of the round table, where issues on intellectual property objects and key issues of interaction between representatives of Right Holders and customs authorities were discussed. Wishes and suggestions of the participants of the round table were listened to and the necessary notes were made.
The employees of the customs post «Taraz-СТО» gave exhaustive answers and explanations to the questions asked and the problems discovered. Also, representatives of the Copyright Holder were reminded that there is an information and consultation center at the customs post, where each participant in foreign economic activity, as well as individuals, can receive comprehensive and comprehensive answers to questions in the field of customs legislation, both in writing and orally.
