-vehicles for personal use registered in a state that is not a member of the EAEU - i.e. all vehicles for personal use registered in foreign countries, except for the states of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
In accordance with Article 347 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Customs Regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan" - Temporary importation into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union by foreign individuals of vehicles for personal use, registered in a state that is not a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, for a period of not more than one year is allowed .
In the event that the facts of the transfer of temporarily imported vehicles for personal use in other cases than those established by Article 347 of the Code are revealed, until their customs declaration for the purpose of free circulation, such vehicles are detained by the customs authorities in accordance with Chapter 52 of the Code for 30 days.
Temporarily imported vehicles for personal use must be in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union in the actual possession and use of the declarant. Cases of transfer of such vehicles to other persons are defined in Article 347 of the Code.

In cases of detection of facts of illegal transfer by foreign persons of temporarily imported vehicles not registered in the EAEU states, citizens of Kazakhstan and individuals of the EAEU are jointly and severally liable for payment of customs duties and taxes from persons in whose possession this vehicle was at the time of detention by the Police and state authorities. income.
