Regarding the ban on the import and transit of lithium batteries

The Department of State Revenues for the East Kazakhstan region informs participants in foreign economic activity, who are transporting goods from the Republic of Kazakhstan to EU countries via the Russian Federation, that due to recent changes in the legislation of the Russian Federation concerning the ban on the import and transit of «lithium batteries» (HS code 8507600000), in order to avoid delays of Kazakhstani carriers' vehicles on the territory of the Russian Federation, it would be advisable to use alternative routes for the delivery of the above-mentioned goods.
