Debate tournament among students and civil servants

On June 14, 2024, the State Revenue Department of East - Kazakhstan region and Office Department of State Revenues for Ust-Kamenogorsk city as part of the implementation of the concept «Together towards to development» #BIRGEDAMYUSHIN (бірге даму үшін) organized the debate tournament among students of Kazakh -American Free University and civil servants on the topic: «Development of an anti-corruption attitude and knowledge of issues in tax law ».
The aim of the event is to develop anti-corruption awareness, tax literacy and legal culture among young people.
Two teams took part in the debate tournament. The first team represented the interests of state revenue bodies and defended the position of positive impact of the agency's activities on internal processes in the country. The second team had different opinions and defended an opposite view.
The participants of the debate raised such important topics as formation of zero tolerance to corruption among young people, effective mechanisms to counter corruption practices, use of online cash registers and the issuance of a CRM receipt, how to start a business, advantages of special tax regimes, bankruptcy of individuals, universal declaration and the possibilities of electronic services of the State Revenue Committee MF RK «e-Salyq Azamat», «e-Salyq Business», chatbot «Salyq Bot» when receiving tax and customs services through electronic interaction.
As participants said, participation in debate tournaments will allow civil servants and students to improve such useful skills for work as analytical and critical thinking, defending their position, sociability and creativity.
It should be noted that this kind of debates have already taken place. По итогам дебюта, active participants were awarded diplomas of the SRD of EKR and expressed gratitude on behalf of the leadership.
