Collecting arrears from individuals

A joint meeting on the collection of tax arrears on vehicles was held by employees of the Department with the Transport Prosecutor's Office of the region on 14 September 2021.

As of 11 September 2021, vehicle tax arrears from individuals are 784328,7 tenge for 30 983 areas' residents.

Awareness-raising work is continuing by the SRD for the EKR in the media and on social media for the purpose of promoting debt collection.

However, the transfer of records of persons with arrears to private judicial officer (PJO) is the most effective measure to recover debts from individuals, because the latter are entitled to seize the debtor's property, impose a ban on leaving the Republic of Kazakhstan and other restrictions on the use and disposal of property.

Today on the implementation of PJO is 14695 tax orders for the amount of 385 576.1 tenge, including 1712 orders for the amount of 59 111.6 tenge for previous tax periods, 12983 orders for the amount of 326 464.5 tenge for the tax period of 2020.

At the same time, when collecting the principal amount of the debt, the private judicial officers collect an executive sanction.

We again recall that the deadline to pay the vehicle tax for 2021 begins on 1 April 2022.

We recommend that you  pay the taxes established by the legislation within the prescribed period, as well as  clear all remaining arrears for previous years.
