The threshold for duty-free import of goods for personal use has returned to its previous level

The validity period of the decision of the EEC Council dated September 27, 2023 No. 94 on the increased threshold for duty-free import of goods for personal use has expired.
Recall that the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated September 27, 2023 No. 94 extended the increased threshold for duty-free import of goods for personal use, provided for by the Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated December 20, 2017 No. 107 "On certain issues related to goods for personal use".
In this regard, from April 1, 2024, the duty-free import threshold returned to its previous level:
- for goods imported in accompanied or unaccompanied baggage by modes of transport other than air or on foot – the cost does not exceed the amount equivalent to 500 euros, and (or) the weight does not exceed 25 kg;
- for goods delivered by the carrier or sent by international mail – the cost does not exceed the amount equivalent to 200 euros, and (or) the gross weight does not exceed 31 kg.
