Undeclared spare parts seized at Karaganda airport

During the customs control of hand luggage and luggage of a passenger who arrived by air from Antalya and crossed the customs border along the green corridor, an undeclared commercial consignment of goods (spare parts for technological equipment) was detected.

In relation to the violator, a protocol was drawn up on an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 551 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan - non-declaration or false customs declaration of goods, with the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of 30 MCI or 103,500 tenge. The confiscated goods were detained and placed in a temporary storage warehouse, work is underway to determine the customs value of goods in order to carry out customs declaration and pay due customs duties and taxes.

The Department recalled that on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union there is a unified procedure for the movement of goods for personal use (approved by the Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated December 20, 2017 No. 107 "On Certain Issues Related to Goods for Personal Use"), which approved the cost, weight and/or quantity norms for the importation of goods for personal use.
