Employees of the DND in the Karaganda region suppressed the illegal fact of the sale of illegal tobacco products

On July 28, 2023, the Department of State Revenue for the Karaganda region, in cooperation with the Department of State Revenue for the Karaganda region and the Department of Internal Affairs of the Karaganda region, suppressed another activity on illegal trafficking of excisable products subject to labeling by means of identification.

So, during the inspection of one of the warehouses and a store in the city of Abai, Karaganda region, more than 11.5 thousand pieces of illegal tobacco products in the form of electronic cigarettes, vape devices and liquids to them were revealed. Illegal products were sold wholesale and retail, deliveries were carried out both within the region and to other regions of Kazakhstan.

The market value of the seized products is about 38 million tenge.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the citizens involved, the seized goods are supposed to be confiscated and further destroyed.
