For temporarily imported vehicles

Dear residents of the Karaganda region! The Department of State Revenues for the Karaganda region informs. It is allowed to import foreign vehicles for personal use from third countries into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter - the EAEU) for a period of 1 year. A temporarily imported vehicle may be driven by foreign persons and their close relatives by proxy. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan to use temporarily imported vehicles need to carry out customs clearance of such vehicles. Third countries include states that are not members of the EAEU. The EAEU includes the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Armenia, the Kyrgyz Republic. At the same time, vehicles temporarily imported from the Republic of Abkhazia and South Ossetia also belong to foreign goods and are subject to customs control. Temporarily imported vehicles, upon the expiration of the temporary importation period, must be exported outside the EAEU, in case of non-exportation within the established time limits, appropriate measures will be taken for such vehicles, provided for by the customs legislation of the EAEU. In addition, we inform you that the State Revenue Department for the Karaganda region, together with the Police Department for the Karaganda region, will carry out raids to identify temporarily imported vehicles located in the customs territory of the EAEU in violation of customs legislation.
