The terms of temporary import of vehicles for personal use have been extended

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, by Decision No. 25 of April 5, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the Decision), extended until September 30, 2021, the period for staying in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter referred to as the Union) of cars and other vehicles temporarily imported from foreign states by individuals for personal needs. The Decision also suspended the 18-month period when a preferential duty-free import into the customs territory of the Union of personal property of foreign citizens who have received the status of a person who has resettled to a permanent place of residence in the Union, a refugee, a forced migrant is possible. In this regard, it is necessary to remove the above vehicles from the customs territory of the Union by September 30, 2021. In case of non-export customs duties, taxes will be payable in full.
