Corruption is a negative phenomenon of modern society, which requires constant careful study, a systematic approach, comprehensive and operational counteraction. The level and scale of corruption existing in the country restrains economic development, negatively affects the investment climate, reduces the country's image, and international interest in cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan. In this regard, the fight against corruption is the main priority of the state policy of Kazakhstan. Over the past 12 years, a certain legislative framework has been formed in the Republic of Kazakhstan to combat corruption. Thus, the regulatory legal framework in the field of combating corruption was improved by 17 laws, which brought the national legislation closer to existing international standards. In particular, significant stages in the fight against corruption were the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Improving the Fight Against Corruption", which introduced the confiscation of property obtained by criminal means and transferred to the ownership of other persons by convicts. The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Issues of Further Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption" is aimed at: 1. Strengthening the responsibility of officials for committing corruption crimes and offenses by increasing penalties and introducing confiscation of property; 2. Imposing on the heads of state bodies, state organizations and organizations with a share of state participation the direct duty to combat corruption with the establishment of personal responsibility for this; 3. Establishment of measures to stimulate anti-corruption behavior of citizens, including mechanisms to encourage the activities of citizens, aimed at assisting in the suppression and disclosure of corruption offenses; 4.
