In Almaty region, 2,329 facts of primary registration of motor vehicles without payment of a fee for 13.5 billion tenge were established

In the Almaty region, numerous facts of the importation of heavy-duty cars from abroad without paying the fee for primary registration, as well as cases of issuing state license plates of increased demand without paying state duty, have been revealed.

 

The tax authorities of the Almaty region, following the results of the audit of the Administrative Police Department of the Almaty region (for the periods 2018-2021), established 2,329 facts of the initial registration of PBX without payment of a fee of 13.5 billion tenge.

It turned out that vehicles imported from third countries, in particular tractors with a year of manufacture over 7 years, did not pay a fee at the initial registration, the amount of which is 2,500 MCI (in 2019 – 6.3 million tenge, 2020 – 6.9 million tenge, 2021 – 7.3 million tenge).

Also, 450 facts of issuing state license plates of increased demand without payment of state duty were revealed, as a result, losses to the budget amounted to 135.7 million tenge. The fee for numbers with the same numeric and alphabetic values varies from 174,000 tenge to 872,900 genge.

These facts point to a systematic approach to receiving services without actually paying mandatory payments, which led to significant budget losses.

Currently, the Administrative Police are taking measures to recover the amounts of fees and duties that have not been received from persons who have received the above services in a non-standard way.

The materials of the inspection were sent to law enforcement agencies to establish the circle of guilty persons and make an appropriate decision.
