Goods were detained at the customs post "Alakol" of the Department of State Revenue in the Almaty region

Illegal import of goods in the form of "gloves" in the amount of 22,483 kg was stopped at the customs post "Alakol". The reason for the customs inspection was the underestimation of the customs value of the goods. During the customs inspection by the specialists of the customs post "Alakol" revealed violations of the customs legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The customs value of illegally imported goods is about 43 million tenge. In April, 2022, the materials were transferred to the DEA of the Almaty region for the initiation of a criminal case.

Since the beginning of this year, the Department has sent materials to law enforcement agencies to initiate criminal proceedings on 21 facts (for 13 consignees, of which: 9 are residents, 4 are non–residents), for which the customs value exceeded the threshold level (more than 10,000 MCI). The total customs value of undeclared goods amounted to 1 billion 836 million tenge, and the weight of undeclared goods amounted to 695 tons.
