Transit declaration

Transit declaration

The transit declaration (hereinafter referred to as the TD) consists of the main and additional sheets. Additional sheets are used in addition to the main sheet if information about two or more products is declared in one TD.

In one TD, information about the goods contained in one commodity batch can be declared. At the same time, goods transported from one sender to one recipient under one transport (transportation) document are considered as one commodity lot.

The TD is filled in in two copies on A4 sheets using a printing device. It is allowed to indicate the names and addresses of foreign persons in Latin letters. The TD must be filled in legibly, not contain erasures and blots. The information stated in the TD may be changed and (or) supplemented if the conditions provided for in Article 191 of the Customs Code of the Customs Union are met. Changes and (or) additions to the TD can be made using a printing device or by hand in block letters. Changes and (or) additions are certified on each sheet of the TD by the person who made them and are certified by the signature and impression of the personal numbered seal of the customs official. If there are more than three changes and (or) additions to the TD, the customs authority may require filling in a new TD.

Information that determines the individual characteristics of goods (trademark, article, model, etc.), as well as vehicle numbers, flight numbers, document numbers, and similar information are indicated in the original language, including using the letters of the Latin alphabet.

When placing goods under the customs procedure of customs transit:

  1. a) the first copy of the completed TD sheet remains in the customs authority of departure and is used for control purposes;
  2. b) the second copy of the completed TD sheet is returned to the declarant and used for customs transit purposes for submission by the carrier to the customs authority of destination.
