Electronic customs support of vehicles

Dear participants of foreign economic activity! We hereby inform you that the Order of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 407 of April 28, 2021 has entered into force. Registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 28, 2021 No. 22649. "On approval of the Rules for the use of electronic customs escort of vehicles, as well as the interaction of state revenue bodies, the declarant, the national operator of the information system for tracking international road transport and the carrier for electronic customs escort of vehicles" (hereinafter-the Rules).

When placed under the customs procedure of customs transit as customs security, it is possible to apply electronic customs escort of vehicles, according to this Rule.

At the same time, electronic customs escort of vehicles is carried out by the national operator of the information system for tracking international road transport, by tracking a vehicle moved in accordance with the customs procedure of customs transit, on which the technical equipment of the satellite navigation system is installed, which allows determining the location of the vehicle and the integrity of the navigation seal, by transmitting a signal through communication channels.

If the state revenue body makes a decision on the use of electronic customs escort of vehicles, the state revenue body informs the declarant, the carrier and the national operator of the international road transport tracking information system about the adoption of such a decision and organizes electronic customs escort of vehicles no later than 24 (twenty-four) hours from the moment of making such a decision.

Information on the use of electronic customs escort of vehicles is sent to the customs authority of destination via operational communication channels.

Electronic customs support of vehicles is being completed at the stage of performing customs operations related to the completion of the customs procedure of customs transit.
